The camera truck is a Freightliner FL70 with a 28 foot box. It has a 14 foot slide out which greatly enhances the work area. Camera crews tell me that the slide out saves them time and money as they can be doing their paper work and loading the truck at the same time when it is time to move. There are several jockey boxes incorporated into the box allowing storage space for items not currently in use, such as empty boxes, etc.

The box is air conditioned for summer and has a state of the art diesel heating system for the colder days. It also contains a dark room and has two bunks in the front of the box allowing for those precious few minutes that you can close your eyes. There is a full entertainment centre that allows viewing of your dailies. There is also a fridge and microwave for your enjoyment. The nitrogen bottles are contained in their own compartment on the outside of the truck with hoses suppling the gas to the inside of the box.
